Walter Blood, director of Product Management and Customer Support, is responsible for the FOCUS product on the mainframe platform and the core FOCUS engine across all Information Builders products. With more than 30 years of IT experience, he has spent his time at Information Builders working with FOCUS, EDA, and WebFOCUS on all platforms.
Walter Brengel is currently a technical director in the FOCUS Division at Information Builders. He has been working with FOCUS/WebFOCUS for 30 years. His knowledge is with advanced coding techniques and relational adapters. He has prior experience with educational, financial, and government institutions.
Mark Derwin has been with Information Builders for more than three decades, where his name has become synonymous with WebFOCUS Maintain.
If you have an application where multiple people could be updating a FOCUS/XFOCUS database at the same time then this session is for you. We will review how to configure the SU to allow multiple updates to the same file from different people/sessions..
MODIFY is the language that we can use to handle transactional processing – in both reporting and data input. Join us as we cover the basic MODIFY syntax and explore how what you can do with MODIFY when you don’t have direct user contact. This will be the first of several MODIFY sessions this year.
