Blog Series: Why I Came Back to Information Builders

At Information Builders, we know our employees are happier and more productive when working in an environment that is supportive, engaging, and tech-passionate. This type of culture has also been the catalyst for many former employees to return to the company for another stint.

I’m one of them.

It’s a strange thing – going back. At first I wasn’t so sure because it’s natural to strive towards new opportunities, not feel like you are going in reverse. But after being away for 10 years at a start-up (an experience that I loved), I ultimately decided that I could have the best of both worlds. I rejoined Information Builders because I knew the market for BI and analytics was red hot, being reshaped in part by big data and data visualization trends. And I knew the role I was being offered would allow me to rock my skillset and the knowledge I had gained from getting my hands in every part of the marketing mix.  I could have an exciting new job at a familiar company, one whose leadership and culture I knew well and admired. A place where I had made life-long friends. That was almost 5 years ago. I’m so happy to be back, working with a team of fantastic and super-talented people.  It was a GREAT decision.

We reached out to several other individuals and asked them to share their stories, too. They have their own reasons and unique perspectives. They’ve experienced first-hand what it’s like to work here, part ways and ultimately come back. The reasons behind their returns are exactly what it takes for us to grow as a company both from a hiring sense and from a business point of view. Simply put, our employees are our greatest asset and allow us to deliver superior results for our customers using an integrated, holistic, business-centric approach to data and analytics.

Over the next several weeks, we’ll give you an opportunity to get to know some of our return employees in a blog series called: “Why I Came Back to Information Builders.”
