As we celebrate our 40th anniversary this year, we’re reflecting on the many things that make Information Builders so unique. One of the factors that stands out is the dedication of our employees, and their willingness to go the extra mile to ensure the satisfaction of our customers.  This theme is pervasive throughout our organization, but our customer service and support teams are particularly notable—and we’re not the only ones who think so!

Last week, the American Business Awards (ABA) announced that Information Builders is a finalist in a whopping FOUR customer service and support categories! These include:

·         Customer Service Department of the Year. Our Worldwide Customer Services team was recognized for providing superior, 24/7 support to our global customer base, contributing to a 90% satisfaction rating in an independent industry analyst survey.

·         Customer Service Team of the Year. The six-person iWay Support Team was noted for its unwavering and innovative support approach, close customer relationships and collaboration with Information Builders’ iWay Product Division and Professional Services team.

·         Customer Service Executive of the Year (Computer Software): Dan Ortolani, senior vice president of worldwide customer services, has more than 30 years of experience in the software industry. His innovative approach to customer service has been instrumental to Information Builders’ ability to build long-lasting partnerships with our customers, and this latest ABA acknowledgement is proof of his continued success.

·         Support Staffer of the Year: Account support manager Susan Sams works primarily with clients in the federal government and healthcare sectors. In 2014, a number of Susan’s accounts migrated to new software versions and launched new BI and analytics projects. Her unwavering, high-touch support was a critical element of the success of these initiatives, and contributed to her recognition in the ABA award.

We couldn’t be more pleased to see Susan, Dan and the rest of our customer service and support teams get the broad recognition they deserve. Their placements as Gold, Silver or Bronze winners will be announced at ABA’s awards banquet in Chicago on June 22, and we look forward to toasting their success yet again!
