Last week I had the pleasure of attending the 30th anniversary of our Finnish representative InfoBuild Ltd., at the U.S. Embassy in Helsinki, Finland. Employees, customers and the Ambassador, Charles C. Adams attended the celebration. When speaking with Ambassador Adams, he commented that "Your (Information Builders and InfoBuild Oy) partnership is a wonderful model of Finnish-U.S. collaboration to combine the talent and technical know-how of some of our best companies to provide consumers with valuable solutions. I was particularly impressed by the example of how your WebFOCUS business intelligence solution has enabled the important work of organizations like Food For The Poor and their programs to track rice shipments to Jamaica or send building supplies to Honduras."
This milestone honored the many customers who have become a part of the Information Builders family, including Finnair, Finland’s largest airline (1987), LVI-Dahl (a technical wholesale customer since 2008), Academy of Finland (a technical research and development customer since 1997), Kela (The Social Insurance Institute of Finland, a customer since 2003), and Nordea (a major bank that has been a customer since 1986). These organizations depend on Information Builders’ award-winning technology to harmonize, visualize, operationalize, and monetize their data.
During the event, guests had the pleasure of hearing an overview of the company’s growth and a highlight on key successes since its founding in 1986 by Mikko Simolinna, who remains the current owner and chairman of the board.
“Information Builders’ success is based on dedication to its long-term customers, as evidenced by its unwavering focus on solving pressing BI and data management challenges,” said Simolinna. Simolinna's speech reiterated the importance of our customers: "customer service stands central and is something we won’t compromise on. If we don’t take care of our customers, somebody else will. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you, our customers, for your trust - a trust that with some of you has continued for over thirty years already."
Congratulations InfoBuild Oy! We commend you on your success.
