Ventana Research recently published a benchmark based on total cost of ownership (TCO) research covering offerings from five leading business intelligence vendors: Information Builders, Cognos, Informatica, Microstrategy, and Actuate. Ventana concluded that Information Builders is the lowest-cost vendor for the largest category of business intelligence – parameterized and user-defined reporting – by as much as $1.7 million for a 10,000-user scenario.

The report, which repeatedly refers to our "significantly less expensive software," also substantiates Information Builders' claim to offer the most cost-effective solution regardless of scale.
