WebFOCUS Power Painter
Introducing WebFOCUS Power Painter. This new environment is a Windows-like tool for developing graphs and reports, and then publishing them, all in a thin-client environment. No plug-ins or desktop software required.
The intuitive interface is ideal for power business users; just launch Power Painter from portals or dashboards, then drag and drop reports, graphs, images, and lines onto a canvas. Data extraction and report modeling are combined into a single step allowing the WYSIWIG environment to preview the output's look and feel and also its actual contents. Any changes to the content or layout appear instantly.

Power Painter integrates three new thin-client tools – a report painter, graph assistant, and layout tool – into a single environment. The new publishing capabilities of these tools include:

WebFOCUS Power Painter is built with the latest AJAX (Asynchronous JavaScript and XML) tools for data transfer and Bindows technology for rendering the GUI. This framework makes Power Painter a thin-client tool that looks, responds, and performs like a Windows-based facility. Power Painter is the first tool of its type to provide multiple levels of scalability. It can scale to large numbers of users since it is easily administered as a thin-client Web tool. Power Painter will also scale to the user's skill level, based on multi-level preference profiles.
