Moneris Solutions and Information Builders Provide Canada's First Internet-Based Merchant Reporting Service
Moneris' WebFOCUS Solution Streamlines Retail Market by Empowering More Than 300,000 Merchants to Respond Immediately to Visa, MasterCard, and Debit Card Sales Trends
Toronto, ON – May 1, 2002 – Information Builders, the leader in business intelligence for real-time information delivery over the Web, and Moneris Solutions, Canada's largest processor of credit and debit card transactions, have collaborated to deploy Merchant Direct, Canada's first Internet-based merchant transaction and reporting service.
Merchant Direct will empower Moneris' 300,000-plus merchants to immediately respond to sales trends, current-summary and detailed-level statements, historical information, and forecasting and growth trends at both single and multiple locations for their Visa, MasterCard, and debit card transactions. It was developed by Moneris Solutions as an Internet-based reporting application accessible to all Moneris' merchants in North America – leveraging the scalable OS/390 version of Information Builders' WebFOCUS in a self-service mode.

Moneris Solutions has also custom developed an internal Web-based (intranet) reporting application leveraging the NT version of WebFOCUS initially targeted for the sales, executive management, and finance functions of the organization.
