Report and Graph Assistant Field View

Report Assistant and Graph Assistant enable any Dashboard or Managed Reporting user to quickly build a report request without needing to learn syntax. Data fields are presented in a list showing each field by Name, Alias, Format, and Segment so that the user can easily select the fields to be shown on a report or graph.

The view can be changed for an individual reporting object, report or graph by clicking the View link and selecting which Field attributes to display (see Screen 1).

To change the default for your site, so that the Field attributes displayed in the List are different from the default, edit the file ibi/WebFOCUS52/ibi_html/javaassist/ibi/html/assist/repasst.js in a text editor. (For the 5.2.1 release, the file to be edited is fldlst2.js.) Be sure to make a backup of the file before you start.

Find the list of attributes starting with “bShowName” and ending with “bShow Filename.” Change the true and false values to have an item show by default or not. When this change is made, it is global for every Report and Graph Assistant session at your site.
