New Section on Focal Point: Focus on Developers
By Monica McDonald
The newest addition to the Focal Point web site is a section that shines the spotlight on the individuals who know what our product can do better than anyone else our customers.
The section, "Focus on Developers," will contain articles submitted by the people who use our products day after day. We at Product Marketing hope that Focus On Developers will grow into a large, searchable knowledgebase of cutting-edge tips and techniques for building WebFOCUS reports.
Check out the first article in this series written by Susannah Jones, a WebFOCUS Architect from Elie Tahari Ltd, a high-end women's fashion company headquartered in New York. Jones explains to WebFOCUS developers who use graph bars on Web screens and reports, how to modify GRAPHTYPE, including
changing colors, controlling width, and even stacking the graphs.
Given her industry, it is no wonder that Jones understands how to dress up a GRAPHTYPE to make it more visually appealing. We think you'll find this article very informative. Visit Focal Point today to read the article and browse through a number of valuable development resources at: www.informationbuilders.com/focalpoint.
While you're at it, give some thought to whether you know of any customers who have developed cool techniques they may want to share with the Focal Point user community. If so, drop me a note at monica_mcdonald@ibi.com.
Also new at Focal Point is the addition of a forum for iWay Developers to the Information Builders forums section (forums.informationbuilders.com/groupee/forums). This forum is for questions and discussion related to iWay Software and related products. Topics include installation
and configuration, architecture and compatibility with third-party products. Come to the forum and start a discussion on iWay today.
And finally, time is running out for customers to register their Information Builders product to win a Sony PlayStation 2 and two action-packed games. Two winners will be selected at the end of September in a drawing for the game console. Tell your customers to register to win today.
