iWay-SAP Adapter Partnership Joins NetWeaver to the Enterprise

iWay Software figured prominently in the recent announcement by SAP at the SAPPHIRE ’03 international customer conference in Orlando, Florida, on the growing momentum of enterprise partnerships for SAP’s new NetWeaver open integration and application platform. NetWeaver, unveiled by SAP earlier this year, aims to deliver substantial benefits such as greater access to enterprise systems information, as well as improved productivity and collaboration among employees and customers.

NetWeaver also provides the powerful technology foundation for new versions of mySAP Customer Relationship Management and mySAP Supply Chain Management (mySAP SCM) – enabling customers to create and improve business processes across their value chain without changing the underlying technology foundation.

iWay was singled out by SAP along with Siemens Business Services and Heiler Software as a key partner providing important additional value to NetWeaver.

The rich capabilities of iWay’s enterprise framework provide powerful complementary technology and tools for building enterprise applications on the NetWeaver platform.

In particular, iWay’s enterprise adapters and services provided by the XML Transformation Engine are helping SAP customers to leverage their existing investments in systems and skills. Of special note is iWay’s UCCnet Adapter, which enables standardized e-business transactions and supply-chain exchanges using SAP NetWeaver. Microsoft Extends SQL Server and BizTalk Jupiter With iWay’s Adapter Framework

iWay’s partnership with Microsoft Corporation broadened this past summer to support two major Microsoft enterprise integration initiatives: SQL Server 2000 and the upcoming BizTalk Server 2004, the planned foundation of Microsoft’s Jupiter integration platform. The iWay Universal Adapter Suite will harness Microsoft Web services to furnish full, nearly code-free integration of over 250 enterprise information resources with Microsoft “Jupiter,” the unified and powerful environment comprising three new Microsoft e-business servers – the third major release of BizTalk Server along with Microsoft Content Management Server and Commerce Server.

“iWay’s Universal Adapter Suite for BizTalk Server enables customers to easily expose data sources – including legacy applications – as Web services, and more easily connect applications both internally and externally,” said Sanjay Manchanda, group product manager for the e-Business Servers at Microsoft Corp.

Developers and information workers will be able to work with iWay components through Visual Studio .NET and Office, with integrated security, deployment, management and monitoring, and improved Web services support for interoperability. In the same way, users of Microsoft SQL Server 2000 will be able to use iWay technology for unprecedented distributed database capabilities through Data Transformation Services (DTS). iWay adapters will enable SQL Server users to access over 50 proprietary files, databases, and application packages – including SAP R/3, PeopleSoft, J.D. Edwards, Siebel, and others.

“iWay Software’s technology is instrumental in simplifying application integration, one of the largest costs to CIOs,” observed Stan Sorensen, director of product management for Microsoft SQL Server.

IBM WebSphere Adds 250 iWay Java™ and MQ Adapters

iWay’s expanding JCA-compliant Universal Adapter Framework now offers tight integration with IBM WebSphere Application Server, WebSphere MQ, WebSphere MQ Integrator (WMQI), and WebSphere Studio – the platform’s development environment. iWay’s Universal Adapter Framework will dramatically reduce the cost, time, and effort of integrating enterprise applications with IBM WebSphere environments by dramatically reducing the need for custom programming. This powerful WebSphere complementary solution is now enhanced by tight integration with WebSphere Studio, enabling users to easily create connections to mission-critical legacy data and packaged composite applications.

Because it is JCA compliant, the iWay Universal Adapter Framework enables painless integration of packaged applications, relational and nonrelational databases, transaction processing systems, and industry standard document formats – a total of more than 250 information systems – into the WebSphere architecture.

iWay adapters also expose reusable interfaces that can be invoked from WebSphere via JCA or as Web services, and they are compatible with WMQI processing nodes so they may be reused by WebSphere Application Server or WMQI.

The new iWay JCA 1.0 Adapter Suite is part of a complete family of WebSphere-complementary solutions. Visit www.iwaysoftware.com/products/ibmproducts.html for more information.

AptSoft and iWay Join in Solutions for the Real-Time Enterprise

iWay software and AptSoft Corporation of Burlington, Massachusetts, have partnered to extend and enhance AptSoft’s solutions for event-driven enterprise integration. AptSoft’s integration vision, called the Real-Time Enterprise (RTE), is realized through AptSoft Director Series software, which identifies, evaluates, and responds to key business events across a company’s computing infrastructure. This connectivity with the enterprise will now be facilitated by iWay’s Java-based Universal Adapter Framework.

“Many companies are unnecessarily foregoing millions of dollars in profits through stranded IT investments and the inability of line executives to sufficiently recognize revenue opportunities and control the business processes that drive results,” observed AptSoft Founder and CEO Frank Chisholm. “AptSoft's software overcomes this problem by providing an RTE catalyst pioneering a new approach to coordinating key business events across systems.”

“The synergy between AptSoft and iWay Software is tremendous,” added iWay Marketing Vice President Roger Panfil. “AptSoft focuses on enabling organizations to rethink the way they conduct business. iWay helps users exploit their IT assets while removing major costs, distractions, and grunt work normally encountered when integrating a disparate enterprise. Together, our companies enable users of AptSoft Director Series to recoup stranded IT costs, respond to fleeting revenue opportunities, and better control the business processes that drive results.”
