iWay, SyncronexTeam Up: Simplify Web and Wireless Views of Back-End Data
iWay Software recently forged a partnership with Syncronex (www.syncronex.com), a leader in providing Web and wireless access to structured data. Syncronex' flagship product, ViewPoint, pulls relevant information from multiple data sources, publishes it to any
Internet-enabled device and allows users to interact with it anytime, anywhere.
Using ViewPoint, departments can build customized and configurable business-specific applications that offer employees, partners, customers and suppliers access to secure enterprise data via a single Web or wireless interface, without sacrificing data integrity, security, or scalability. The two-way data
synchronization capability allows information to be updated via the user interface or the data source.
iWay's Connectors and Adapters will enhance ViewPoint's powerful, easy-to-use administration features and back- end data connectivity, for rapid access to relevant corporate information including legacy, industry-specific, and proprietary databases.
"We are excited by the possibilities this new relationship with iWay Software brings to our customers," says Syncronex CEO Bruce Leader. "The ability to quickly and easily create data applications using virtually any back-end system as the data source enhances one of ViewPoint's greatest strengths: eliminating
reliance on IT staff to create department-level Web and wireless services."
More than 30 organizations including Allegheny Technologies, Inc., Landstar Systems Inc., Andersen (formerly Arthur Andersen), NiSource, WorldCom, and VoiceStream Wireless use the company's flagship ViewPoint product. Syncronex has also formed OEM agreements and partnerships with companies such as Plumtree Software,
Inc., AT&T Wireless and Captaris.
iWay Software Partners With Anysoft: Unique Integration With Windows Applications
Anysoft Corp. of Newton, Mass. (www.anysoft.com) is developing plans with iWay to market a new iWay Enterprise Adapter. The planned adapter will extend iWay's Service Channel Architecture with Anysoft's Digital Cortex Software Sequencing System, which decodes the
operations of enterprise applications in real time. The result: exceptional flexibility for companies that choose iWay as their e-business foundation. Now e-business systems can interact with the data and business logic of older applications without tampering with source code or APIs of legacy applications. This
"noninvasive" integration allows access to applications running in Windows, Java, Java applets, browsers, and DOS, plus packaged and custom applications on public or private networks.
The combined iWay-Anysoft solutions give companies the unique ability to assimilate a panoply of existing IT resources as components of e-business projects.
"With iWay, we are partnering with a proven leader in the integration space who can deliver new Digital Cortex-based products to their customers," commented Pat Casey, Anysoft's president and Chief Operating Officer. "This will allow companies to realize value from their existing applications in ways they have never
been able to before."
iWay Software, Elagent Corp. Join Forces: Partnership Reaps Business Process and Ontology Software With Integration Capabilities
iWay Software and Elagent Corporation (www.elagentcorp.com), a provider of next-generation Enterprise Process Integration solutions, have announced a technology and OEM partnership agreement whereby Elagent will add iWay Software's revolutionary structured
data adapter and connector technologies to its BPM Studio Business Process Management platform to integrate legacy and other data sources within running processes throughout the customer's extended enterprise. Together, iWay Software and Elagent will provide customers with an extended solution set for the
integration of rules-based business activities with data from a customer's specific ontology. Elagent Ontology Server provides a model of all of an enterprise's information resources, including enterprise and legacy applications.
While iWay can access all of a company's structured data, such as databases, Elagent's technology accesses nonstructured data, such as Word documents, e-mails, and Internet search engines, creating a comprehensive solution set. This combination reduces the time to production and the costs of integrating back-office
applications to enable them to work with new e-business solutions, all in real time.
"This partnership is about strengths we've created a winning combination that really makes sense for both Elagent and iWay customers," said Bob Ney, Elagent's CEO. "The combination of iWay's extensive structured adapter offerings with our unstructured adapters and business modeling suite make both of our products
even stronger."
XML Global, iWay Unite: Together Create eBIX Transformation Engine
Usually software companies partner to jointly market their existing products. Sometimes, however, a partnership brings together so much value that the partners create a product whose worth is far greater than the sum of its parts. That's the happy outcome of the partnership between iWay Software and XML Global (www.xmlglobal.com), based in Vancouver, Canada. The two companies have created an extraordinary product eBIX an abbreviation for "e-Business Integration using XML."
eBIX is an XML Transformation Engine with the potential to unite the operation of virtually all information systems including the Web and EDI. eBIX is a 100% Java-based transformation and integration engine for document-based information exchange. It accepts and sends documents via IBM MQSeries, HTTP, TCP/IP,
email, or file system and provides reusable transformations for application servers, integration brokers, and other integration technologies. eBIX also lets developers and planners accomplish their integration goals with just two well-known programming languages XML, the language of computer interaction, and SQL,
the common speech of relational databases.
The new eBIX product combines GoXML Transform XML Global's patented high-performance XML transformation engine and iWay's specialized connector technologies for integrating complex IT assets, including over 120 different applications and data sources. "eBIX meets the challenge of maintaining an open, flexible,
standards-based infrastructure while leveraging all existing back-office systems for new e-business applications," enthused iWay's John Senor.
