Partnering to Improve Public School Performance
Columbus City Schools, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Ohio, and Nationwide Insurance partnered to launch Project Mentor, a program that aims to increase the school district's graduation rate to 90 percent by 2012. Project Mentor engages people throughout the community to become mentors for at-risk students in the city. The partnership is now focused on improving student/school performance and mutual accountability. It involves using the WebFOCUS business intelligence (BI) platform to share information between administrators, teachers, parents, guardians, and students in an innovative, easy to use fashion.
This Webcast introduces the next phase of this exciting and successful program and provides insights into creating similar public/private partnerships that benefit the children and communities in your own K-12 school districts.
