The MetroPulse Chicago website developed an RIA-based Dynamic Charting Dashboard based on the latest WebFOCUS Flex Enable API and Adobe Flash Builder. The dashboard is key in helping users visualize the vast warehouse of data on quality-of-life factors in the Chicago metropolitan region. It also gives users the ability to choose interesting indicators and create dynamic, complex charts in a few simple clicks.

Kelasto: The Statistical Database of Social Insurance Institution of Finland

They also provide information about the level and prevalence of various benefits as well as about their regional and demographic distribution. Kelasto, Kela's statistical database, contains key statistical information about the social security schemes and lets users generate their own reports with whatever criteria they wish.

With its new Sales Cockpit initiative, W&W provides targeted information, from several sources, to sales management and field sales in an attractive and intuitive way. Sales people find up-to-date metrics about sales and opportunities to drive more business. In 2011, W&W will complete a major rollout of the Sales Cockpit to 3.500 users, focusing on design and development aspects of the project such as requirements, features, basic concepts, development strategy, layouts, and optimization.

Hercules Tire, a wholesale tire distributor based out of Findlay, Ohio, recently embarked on an initiative to provide data to its sales team in an effort to get them the right information at the right time and continue to provide excellent customer service. Hercules has a unique enterprise resource planning (ERP) system with a flat, multi-valued database structure (Universe), which presented some unique challenges, and benefits, for the WebFOCUS implementation team. This case study will address some of those issues and showcase the Guided Ad-Hoc tool we developed to provide critical data to our internal users in a much easily managed and understood format.
