We’re pleased to announce that Information Builders’ customer Butler Health Systems, has received a gold eHealthcare Leadership Award in the category of Best Overall Internet Site.

The eHealthcare Leadership Awards are an annual program that recognizes the best websites and digital communications of healthcare organizations across the US. In today’s digital environment, a website can often be the principal way in which patients contact healthcare providers, both to schedule appointments and glean critical information about their care. Ensuring that websites are intuitive and easy to navigate is an important consideration for today’s healthcare providers, and the eHealthcare Leadership Awards recognize those who do it well. More than 1,000 organizations entered this year’s awards across categories, and judges considered elements including visual interest, navigation simplicity and the showcasing of key service lines.

Located in Butler, PA, Butler Health System offers a range of services to address patients’ compete healthcare needs. The organization is using Information Builders’ WebFOCUS BI and analytics platform to improve patient care, streamline operations, significantly reduce costs and increase revenue.  With the help of WebFOCUS, Butler has been able to keep readmission rates under the national average and meet federally mandated meaningful use guidelines. WebFOCUS also helped Butler avoid having to hire additional developers and eliminated the need to purchase additional systems, which led to $2,175,000 in cumulative savings over five years. Finally, WebFOCUS helped Butler improve efficiency. By improving its emergency department workflow and registration processes, Butler has increased the number of patients it can see every year, generating an estimated $1,646,633 in additional revenue over the course of five years.

But don’t just take our word, listen to this video from Dr. A. Thomas McGill, Vice President Quality and Safety and CIO of Butler Health Systems.

Butler’s commitment to its patients is clear, both in its dedication to improve internal functions with advanced BI solutions and in its commitment to providing a high-quality, easy to access website for patient use. The Information Builders team is thrilled to be helping such a great organization improve efficiency and patient care, and we’re pleased to congratulate the team on this latest honor
