Today we issued a press release on our recognition in a survey of BI professionals conducted by independent research firm KLAS. The report, “Healthcare Analytics: Making Sense of the Puzzle Pieces,” surveyed healthcare CIOs, IT directors, support managers and multiple other functions to uncover how users are utilizing and benefitting from BI technology. Information Builders emerged as a leader in a number of categories, and was praised as a flexible, end-to-end BI tool that facilitates operational efficiencies throughout the organization.

The KLAS report analyzed the strength of vendors’ solutions in four categories: BI Tool Sets, Visual Data Discovery, Datawarehousing/EDW, and Predictive Analytics. We were the only company that ranked prominently in every area, each of which represents an essential function for fully leveraging information for data driven healthcare transformation. Information Builders also offers a further advantage over the competition as all of these capabilities are included in one integrated solution.

In addition to recognizing our proficiencies in the above key categories, the KLAS report found that we are ahead of our competitors in the expanded use of BI tools for accountable care initiatives analysis. Respondents reported that they are utilizing our Omni-Patient enterprise master data application to obtain a comprehensive view of key operational metrics, and are also drawing on our other healthcare specific solutions to improve patient care and reduce operating costs.

These are key goals of all healthcare providers, and we’re incredibly pleased to see that our customers are achieving these objectives with our solutions.
