Information Builders has two product sets: iWay Software (for integration and data integrity) and WebFOCUS (for business intelligence and analytics). Considering that we're not a megavendor, it's pretty cool to see the number of Gartner Magic Quadrants we get into compared to our competitors. Informatica's not in the BI quadrant, and neither Microstrategy nor Tableau is in the integration quadrant. We specialize in data, not just BI, analytics, integration, or data governance.

The latest quadrant we've been ranked in is the Magic Quadrant for Data Integration Tools. We're named as visionaries, which is a rock solid place for us to be.

What's interesting about that is that our vision for a complete, modular, highly flexible data integration infrastructure is rated better than narrow players like Talend and industry behemoths like Oracle and Microsoft. Others are ranked higher on the "ability to execute" axis because they have higher market shares and for simliar reasons, but the quadrant validates that we know what we're talking about and we understand the value of integration across a wide swath of technologies.

And quite a wide swath it is, too: Everything from data acquisition for BI to data migrations to interenterprise data sharing (i.e., B2B) to SOA.

We're very pleased to be visionaries in the quadrant -- again, you can download it here -- and would be happy to share our vision with you.
