The opportunity to come back to Information Builders was very exciting to me. I’d greatly enjoyed my first stint here while serving as VP of the Central and West consulting areas. During that time, I learned about our great company, our passion for technology, our family culture, and our relentless dedication to never giving up on our customers.

I left the company in 2008 when I was offered the opportunity to join a privately owned global software firm as the global second-in-command. As COO and CFO of that company, I played an important role in transitioning leadership to the second generation of family ownership.

While it had been eight years since I left Information Builders, I continued to enjoy my friendships with the staff via phone calls, lunches, and annual holiday cards. The moment the senior VP of Professional Services, North America position became available, I was touched by the number of people who reached out to me to assess my interest in the role. I couldn’t say “no.” I was very excited to be able to come back to the Information Builders family and return with even more experience in managing a global software company.

Since returning, I have been almost overwhelmed by the warm welcome and kindness from across the company. I have incredible respect for company founders Gerald D. Cohen, president and CEO; Peter Mittelman, senior VP, FOCUS Division; and Martin B. Slagowitz, consultant, for creating this great company. I’m also very grateful for the opportunity to be part of the organization once again. I have enjoyed a number of surreal moments over the last 170 days and I could not be more excited about the future opportunities that we will all share.
