Another year has come and gone, and as I begin to wrap up this year and prepare for the next, I'm reminded of the few constants that I always look forward to towards the end of January: the ball dropping in Times Square, James Bond Marathons, how they're going take the year and turn it into a pair of glasses to be worn at parties, and numerous countdowns of “The Top X of 2015”.

I thought this year I’d start my own countdown tradition and create a list of the Top Ten Information Builders Blog Posts of the Year. We could slice and analyze the data in a number of different ways using WebFOCUS’s ability to access Google Analytics data. This year I’ll rank the blogs based on the number of unique visitors the posts drew to our website.

The Information Builders Blog had a very strong year in 2015 with a 41% increase in traffic since 2014.

Here are the top ten blogs that contributed most to that increase – counting down New Year’s Eve (or Letterman) style:

10. Gartner Magic Quadrant for Data Integration 2015

9. Monetizing Data – It’s More Than What You Think

8. Big Data Use Cases 2015 from BARC is a Must-Read

7. Predictive Analytics Simplified

6. Top Ten Things Overheard at Summit 2015

5. Big Data – It’s About Impact, Not Insights

4. Gartner’s 2015 Tech Trends Lead to Pervasive BI

3. Analysts Agree: We are a Rock in a Sea of Uncertainty

2. 2015 Gartner Magic Quadrant for BI and Analytics Platforms – Information Builders is a Leader Again!

As you can see by the list, 2015 has been a very interesting year in the world of data and analytics, and 2016 promises to be the same.

Have a Happy and Healthy New Year!
