Information Builders' Benefits Program

Information Builders provides comprehensive, competitive benefits, designed to assist staff members and their families throughout their years working with Information Builders.

Each of Information Builders' current employee benefits is summarized below. New employees are provided with complete details of these benefits at the time of hire.

Competitive Salary

Salaries at Information Builders are competitive with compensation at other technology companies. Salary increases are awarded after annual performance reviews for all employees.

Health Care

Staff members and their families receive company-paid medical coverage from The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America for medical costs, prescription drugs, hospitalization, dental, and vision care. In addition to this primary plan, Information Builders offers all staff members the option of a Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) plan. Employees can use the medical provider of their choice under the primary plan, or they have the option of seeing a PPO medical provider for a flat fee of $30 per office visit.

Unlike many companies, Information Builders does not impose a waiting period for health care coverage. Employees are eligible for coverage effective on the first day of the month immediately following their hire. Employees whose hire date is the first of the month are immediately enrolled.

401(k) Retirement Savings Plan

Employees can take advantage of Information Builders' 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, managed by Mercer Investments. Employees are eligible to enroll in the plan immediately upon hire, and will be eligible to receive the company matching contribution on January 1st of the following year from date of hire. Employees may also borrow against accrued savings in their 401(k) accounts.

Tuition Reimbursement Plan

We encourage the professional development of Information Builders employees by reimbursing preapproved, job-related courses taken through an accredited university or college.

Employee Referral Program

Our referral program encourages employees to expand the Information Builders' family. Staffers who refer a successful job applicant – whether a technical professional, sales professional, marketeer, or administrator – can receive substantial cash rewards.

Disability Leave

Staff members receive company-paid, short-term and long-term disability coverage when they become eligible, after six months of employment. For any qualified short-term disability, Information Builders pays all or part of the first 90 days based on length of service with the company. Employees who cannot return on the 91st day may qualify for long-term disability. If you qualify, the program pays up to 60 percent of your salary. Staff can purchase additional long-term disability coverage and pay the premiums through payroll deductions.

Group Life Insurance

After you complete six months of employment at Information Builders, you receive company-paid group life insurance coverage of up to $50,000. Staff may purchase additional life insurance at a discounted rate and pay the premiums through payroll deductions.

Business Travel Accident Insurance

Information Builders provides business travel insurance for accidental death or dismemberment with benefits of $250,000 for each staff member. This policy is in effect on a 24-hour, all-risk basis while the staff member is traveling on company business.

Personal Travel Insurance

Immediately upon hire, staff and dependents will have access to emergency medical assistance when traveling 100 miles or more from home or to a foreign country on vacation or on business (a spouse traveling on business is excluded). Assist America provides this worldwide emergency medical assistance coverage which includes: medical consultation and evaluation, medical referrals, hospital admission guarantee, critical care monitoring, and if medically necessary, evacuation by whatever mode of transportation is necessary to the nearest facility that can treat the condition. This is separate from the company-paid medical coverage provided by The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America (described above).

Professional Development Classes and Workshops

We encourage professional growth with regularly scheduled classes and workshops on Information Builders' many enterprise software products, which employees may attend.

Confidential, short-term, outside counseling service is provided free for employees and their family members.
