Salaries at Information Builders are competitive with compensation at other technology companies. Salary increases are awarded after annual performance reviews for all employees.
Staff members and their families receive company-paid medical coverage from Cigna for medical costs, prescription drugs, hospitalization, dental, and vision care.
Unlike many companies, Information Builders does not impose a waiting period for health care coverage. Employees are eligible for coverage effective on the first day of the month immediately following their hire. Employees whose hire date is the first of the month are immediately enrolled.
Flexible Spending Account
Flexible Spending Account allows staff members to get reimbursed for qualified health-related expenses that are not covered, or are only partially covered, under our insurance plan, as well as eligible out-of-pocket dependent care expenses, as defined and regulated by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) on a pre-tax basis. By participating in FSA, you reduce your taxable income to reimburse yourself and/or eligible dependents for expenses that would have otherwise been paid with post-tax dollars.
401(k) Retirement Savings Plan
Employees can take advantage of Information Builders' 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, managed by Diversified Investment Advisors. Employees are eligible to enroll in the plan immediately upon hire. Employees may also borrow against accrued savings in their 401(k) accounts.
Group Life Insurance
After you complete six months of employment at Information Builders, you receive company-paid group life insurance coverage of up to $50,000. Staff may purchase additional life insurance at a discounted rate and pay the premiums through payroll deductions.
Staff members receive company-paid, short-term and long-term disability coverage when they become eligible, after six months of employment. For any qualified short-term disability, Information Builders pays all or part of the first 90 days based on length of service with the company. Employees who cannot return on the 91st day may qualify for long-term disability. If you qualify, the program pays up to 60 percent of your salary.
Business Travel Accident Insurance
Information Builders provides business travel insurance for accidental death or dismemberment with benefits of $250,000 for each staff member. This policy is in effect on a 24-hour, all-risk basis while the staff member is traveling on company business.
Personal Travel Insurance
Immediately upon hire, staff and dependents will have access to emergency medical assistance when traveling 100 miles or more from home or to a foreign country on vacation or on business (a spouse traveling on business is excluded). Services include medical consultation and evaluation, medical referrals, hospital admission guarantee, critical care monitoring, and if medically necessary, evacuation by whatever mode of transportation is necessary to the nearest facility that can treat the condition. This is separate from the company-paid medical coverage provided by Cigna (described above).
Employee Assistance Program
Confidential, short-term, outside counseling service is provided free for employees and their family members.
Employee Referral Program
Our referral program encourages employees to expand the Information Builders' family. Staffers who refer a successful job applicant – whether a technical professional, sales professional, marketeer, or administrator – can receive substantial cash rewards.
Tuition Reimbursement Plan
We encourage the professional development of Information Builders employees by reimbursing preapproved, job-related courses taken through an accredited university or college.
Professional Development Classes and Workshops
We encourage professional growth with regularly scheduled classes and workshops on Information Builders' many enterprise software products, which employees may attend.
Employees accrue vacation days according to the following schedule:
- First four years of service: two weeks
- More than four years of service: three weeks
- More than 10 years of service: four weeks
Employees receive four personal days per year. These days may not be carried over from year to year.
Employees are eligible for six sick days per year. These days may not be carried over from year to year.
Information Builders observes, on average, 10 paid company holidays per year.
Special Employee Perks
Employees can take advantage of an array of special discounts and services, including reduced-rate car and hotel rentals, cost-saving vacation travel from our in-house travel agency, and discounted admission to New York's and other cities' great museums, shows, and galleries.
Great New York City Location
In Information Builders' 35-year history, many enterprise software and technology companies have come and gone from New York. Well, we've always been here. We are headquartered on the topmost floors of Two Penn Plaza, directly above Penn Station and Madison Square Garden in the heart of Midtown Manhattan. So employees from New York's five boroughs, Long Island, New Jersey, upstate New York, and Connecticut can all get here easily and conveniently by commuter rail, express subway, Amtrak, bus, taxi, and car.
